There are a variety of ways to promote property listings. Each listing is unique and should be marketed accordingly.
The MLS doesn’t leave a lot of room for creative marketing, so a single-property site is a great way to captivate leads with beautiful photos and video, details on the home’s unique value, and an effective call to action to capture leads.
1. Post on the MLS
The MLS is the largest searchable database of properties in your area. It’s where agents, brokers and homebuyers go to find homes for sale.
Typically, to post on the MLS you need to be a real estate agent who pays membership dues. However, there are flat-fee MLS services that will list your property for you.
Be sure to choose a local company with a network of brokers in your region. Hauseit lists homes in NYC and is backed by an extensive broker network.
2. Post on your website
A website is an ideal place to feature property listings. Create a single-property site for each listing with photos and videos that tell a story and encourage leads to contact you.
Real estate agents can also blog about properties to reach a larger audience and generate more engagement. If the content is engaging, this can help build trust and increase search rankings on big real estate websites.
5. Post in real estate groups
Find real estate groups in your local area and establish yourself as an expert by sharing advice, news, and home listing information. Avoid posts that are too salesy, as today’s consumers don’t want to be pitched to.
Share home tour videos on social media to generate quality leads and increase demand for the property. Instagram Reels attract more engagement than static posts.
6. Post on your blog
If you have a real estate blog on your website, adding a property listing can help drive traffic and generate interest. Ideally, you should write a compelling story about the listing, complete with staging photos and your contact information. This will encourage your audience to get in touch with you to learn more about the listing.
Be sure to avoid posting too frequently and coming across as overly commercial, however.
7. Post on Google My Business
GMB, or Google My Business, is a great way to update real estate listings. There are also various Posts you can use, such as what’s new, events, or special offers.
Posts can include images, news, and even videos. The content should be informative, such as newly listed properties, community news, market trends, tips for buying and selling homes, and agent spotlights.
8. Post on Pinterest
Home buyers often search for properties on Pinterest, so this is a great place to promote your listings. Create a Pinterest board for each of your listings and update it regularly with images and listing information. Also, be sure to use popular real estate hashtags on your Pinterest boards. This will increase your reach and visibility.
– Reddit
Although it has a less-than-savoury reputation, there is actually a lot of useful information on Reddit that can help you connect with potential clients.
9. Post on Instagram
Instagram is a powerful tool for real estate agents. You can use the platform to showcase listing photos, create a virtual open house and even promote listings using a live video.
Market update posts are a great way to build interest in listings that are coming soon. You can also save a feed post, Story or IGTV video as a Highlight on your profile.
